Brighton, near to Hove and portslade, is a resort on the south coast of England.
As Brighton is close by the sea it consists of many piers. One of these sight seeing piers is Brighton Pier which officially opened in 1899. It features restaurants, arcade halls and a fun fair.
The seafront in Brighton contains bars, restaurants, nightclubs and amusement arcades, mostly held in between each pier.
Brighton is famous for its nightlife and popular music. There are over 400 pubs and many nightclubs.
Each year, in the month of May, the city hosts 'Brighton Festival', the 2nd largest arts festival in the UK.
The city is also well-known for having a LGBT community and can be referred to as "the gay capital of Britain".
In August of each year the city hold a gay pride carnival which attracts thousands.
